Scotcharoos

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups special K cereal (12 cups per box)
  • 6 oz chocolate chips
  • 6 oz butterscotch chips
Instructions
  1. Bars: In a large Dutch Oven, over medium heat stir sugar and corn syrup together. Remove from heat IMMEDIATELY when it reaches a boil.
  2. Add peanut butter and special K and mix well.
  3. Press into a well buttered 9x12 pan.
  4. Frosting: Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips. Pour over bars.
  5. Cut the bars while they are warm and do not refrigerate.
