Love Family Favorite
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ Cup Hot Water
  • ⅓ Cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or Flavoring
  • nuts optional
  1. Combine 1st 4 ingredients
  2. Cook to boil stirring constantly on medium heat
  3. Cook without stirring to hard ball stage (255*) on medium low heat
  4. In separate mixing bowl, beat egg whites to form stiff peaks (but not dry)
  5. Pour syrup into stiff peak egg whites in a slow and steady stream while mixing.
  6. Beat until loses gloss and holds its shape
  7. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  8. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper or parchment paper
