Butter Ceram Icing
Recipe type: Dessert
  • ½ cup Crisco
  • ½ cup butter/ margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups powder sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  1. Cream butter and Crisco. Mix in vanilla. Gradually add sugar. When all sugar is combined with butter mixture, beat in milk. Whip until light and fluffy.
  2. Over with damp cloth until ready to use.
  3. Refrigerate well for at least 2 weeks. Rewhip before using for best results.
  4. Margarine gives a yellow color and butter gives a white color. Using all Crisco & ½ tsp butter extract will make. pure white icing.
